Crown Layer

Part of the April 25′ Bushland Collection, Crown Layer depicts the upper strata of a mature Tasmanian forest. The view is framed by dense green foliage, with interlacing branches and leaf clusters partially obscuring the pale sky above. Two large tree trunks rise centrally, their bark marked by age and covered in patches of moss and lichen. The forest canopy is closed but varied, with a mix of leaf shapes and shades that reflect soft daylight from above. The image emphasizes verticality and density, drawing focus to the structure of the forest’s upper layer.
